Xenosaga Episode II - Dämmerung - Restricted Area
You know a song is really good when you start lingering around the level trying to stay there as long as possible just so you can zone out to it longer.
I can see it clearly in my head. Random boxes everywhere in the warehouse or whatever it was. Shion's Uzuki's footsteps clickidy-clacking... That feeling of bliss when you are playing Xenosaga at the peak of the plot, when you feel like all the loose ends are going to come together beautifully....
(Spoiler Alert: do not have this expectation. Please.)
Anyway, this track didn't get an official release and I'm convinced it's cos they knew too many people get freaky to it.
What do you think?

you know it's actually really easy to get MAME to run on your computer and there are mutliple CAVE releases on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and it is now easier and cheaper than ever to fully enjoy the arcade shoot 'em up expierence from the comfort of your own home. Releases on Switch blow my mind BACK IN MY DAY I actually paid to get my 360 Jtag'd just so I could freaking play Mushihimesama Futari (WORTH). Now you can just get it on the eShop what a world . what a world. what a time to be alive. Right next to the rapture and you get to play CAVE on the go. I will never 1CC this game as long as I live

Something lonely and magical about it.
As a kid, I could never figure out how to play it. But getting my GameCube to connect to the Internet was so awesome. Listening to the tracks and playing with the "sticker communication system" (???) is most of what I remember of that time.
Maybe I'll learn to play for real someday. I dunno. Sometimes it's nice having memories cut off like that and live on preserved as the way you imagined it instead.
I kind of imagined a huge majestic plotline for it...
