I played A LOT of Legend of Zelda as a kid... I remember that I couldn't afford a memory card so I had to get really fast at powering through OoT.
I love that game the most, it really captures my imagination. It feels totally real to me. But...

Unusually large infodump on the topic that no one asked about here

An unusual side effect was that I was really into Link. In that, I wanted to hurt him. I don't know why, to be honest. He was like a doll I just wanted to torture a little...
He was kind of my first crush. I just really did not realize it... that my feelings would make me want to hurt him (the case, I presume, when you come from a lot of abuse in your real life)
I would let him succumb to numerous enemies. On repeat. Not really sure what that feeling was but having the urge to do it on repeat. I wanted to be the monster, in many cases, I think.
ANYWAY... I was very enraptured by Link and his numerous appearances, he made me get into Soul Calibur II as well. And I adored Twilight Princess and Wind Waker.
Not a fan of the DS games or Skyward Sword, or Breath of the Wild and whatever else. Sorry! I do love the 3DS remakes of the N64 games though. Very cool.

I think Ganon/Link is hot but it takes a lot of (imagination) work to make it hot. Link/Zelda is very nice and sweet. I have a lot of head canons about Link.
I also insert him into the fabric of my Smash universe which is a whole other can of worms. I prefer to write Link as mute. I also prefer to view each game's respective Link as their own person.
So, Twilight Princess Link is a different person than Soul Calibur II Link, or Wind Waker Link. I assign them different personalities. This is part of why I don't like Breath of the Wild as I don't like "that Link".

If I write for parts of the Zelda universe that take place outside of Ocarina of Time, I will divide up this page so you can click whichever Link you are interested in. At some point, I'll write up a bio of what I imagine each Link is like.
My goal with these stories I am writing here is that I would like to write a totally shameless, self indulgent series in which Link is killed by every possible enemy. Culminating in some longer form fic about him and Ganon.
These will most likely be my most unhinged, weirdest works. Not for the faint of heart. OK?
