In no particular order...
Please note that I haven't decided upon a denomination or anything so the links are going to be all over the place.
I think KJV-onlyism is wack. Read multiple sources. I like to read ESV if I'm reading from a single book, particularly IRL.
If you are part of a church they might tell you which one to read from but you should always *research* what the translation team was focused on, their theology and catechism. A lot of new translations are written by people who openly admit to hating God. And a lot of older translations have political or societal issues that influence translation.

Commentaries and the notes from study bibles are your friends. But do your research. Worth noting that learning from your enemies can teach you a lot about the truth as well, just know what you are getting into.

You should try to not be reading from any single source 100% of the time, you should be using something like Blue Letter or e-Sword to view multiple translations at once so you can better understand the actual intention behind the passages. Concordances are a very useful tool in understanding how and where words are used which will help you gain a better understanding of them and how they may be mishandled in the translation you are reading.

The Bible is something that is cryptographic, a codex, a thing to be taken literally, and a thing to be taken symbolically. The Bible can be applied to the past, present and future. Even if you think it is B/S, the majority of the world functions as though this is true. Give it some thought.

If you don't understand something, underline it and move on until a new tool of understanding is revealed to you. If you have questions, write them down. It is normal to be angry, sad, hurt or confused by things, especially when they go against everything you've been taught. If you have a question you can't find a helpful answer to, e-mail me, and I will try to explain. I've been through what you are going through and 99.9% of the time, churches, priests, and everything else isn't useful in finding answers. For the record, fear is ALWAYS a tool of evil.

Last tip: research the ancient world. Learn about the old world culture (or the little we know or understand of it) to give yourself better context. Highlight words you don't know and look them up to try and understand them (like the tribes of Israel for example). The Old Testament is challenging because humanity functioned very differently than it does today and, in those books, God is trying to communicate with *those* people. Once you learn more about it (good luck finding reliable sources, I'll try to post some here), you'll s@%t bricks.

gaychristians.2freedom.com
SO helpful in understanding that there is no scriptural evidence that "God hates gay people" or that He even rejects them. People just made that hatred up. Written by a Christian lesbian : )
Might be a triggering read for some, so you can take my word for it, if you want to.

gaychristian101.com
Another resource for Gay/Lesbian Christians. I haven't explored the site a ton, keep that in mind.

Blue Letter Bible
Wonderful resource that lets you view a bunch of sources simultaneously.

e-Sword
The best bible study tool out there. You can download it on your desktop, there is also an app that works on mobile.

John Kostik
A YouTube channel where John goes into some of the magic behind the ancient Hebrew and the Bible.

The Shroud of Turin Website
All kinds of information on the linen cloth which bears the image of Jesus. One of the most important Christian artifacts in the world.
Important note: the Turin project had NASA (evil) involved. We likely aren't getting the full truth so reach inside your heart for discernment.

Vatican Catholic
Very interesting website, take it with a grain of salt because dude is wack. Much to think about, however.
