VLC Media Player
My preferred media player. It does absolutely everything and it makes custom subtitles look great. You can take screenshots which is nice for anime..
Soulseek
An ad-free, spyware free, just plain free file sharing network for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Deluge Torrent Client
My preferred torrent client.
Filezilla
A free FTP solution. The FileZilla Client not only supports FTP, but also FTP over TLS (FTPS) and SFTP.
Bitview
A YouTube alternative.
Handbrake: Video Transcoder
Tool for converting video from nearly any format to a selection of modern, widely supported codecs. I mostly use it to put videos into PSP format and it is so useful.
Screen to GIF
Tool for making GIFs. Super easy to use and has a ton of features.
OBS Studio
Tool for recording and broadcasting video. Most people use it for Twitch but it has many applications.

A great source of information on Barbie.
Strawberry Reef
Lots of information on My Little Ponies. You can sort based on color and see generations at a glance which really helps in identification.

My Fitness Pal
A health and fitness tracking smartphone app and website. You can use it to keep track of numerous intakes (calories, carbs, fats, protein, sodium, sugar), store recipes, and see all your progress and data at a glance.
Notion
A useful tool to organize projects, ideas, journal... etc. I don't use it very often but have friends that swear by it.
Habitica
An app that is themed after a game where you can collect pets and be a wizard or a knight but it's based around accomplishing your own goals and taking care of yourself.
Anki
Has a desktop download and an app.
Allows you to make a flashcard deck of just about anything. Don't underestimate the power of it. There's tons of free decks you can download, including entire Japanese courses, biology courses, stuff for law and medical school, whatever your hearts desire.
